Engin Erdogan is a product leader and entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience in design and tech innovation.

Engin founded and operated Project Interactions, a strategic design studio with the goal of delivering tangible results through design innovation. At Project Interactions, Engin directly collaborated with top executives and diverse teams to initiate and execute product programs that are mission-critical for businesses to transform, sustain, and grow. Engin led projects from market discovery to successful pilot implementations, exemplified by Bridge, a patient management and counseling platform for Mount Sinai Hospital (200%+ increase in counselor productivity, became a key offering for spin-out business Sema4, a unicorn startup within 3 years), Elsa, an end-to-end digital first content creation platform for Elsevier with a mission to revolutionize Elsevier’s core business of academic book publishing (released to a network of 20,000 editors worldwide, with a pilot satisfaction score of 89%), and Love Every Day, an NIH-backed couple’s therapy program developed by the Oregon Center for Applied Sciences to help couples strengthen their relationship and build intimacy (significant improvements in partner cohesion and relationship confidence with an excellent usability score of SUS 89.5, endorsed and utilized by the US Military)

Before Project Interactions, Engin was a Design Lead at IDEO, a renowned international design firm based in Silicon Valley. At IDEO, he worked alongside top-notch builders and strategists on various “Future of…” projects, which aimed to integrate human-centered design thinking in emerging software-driven sectors like digital health, online education, new media journalism, and urban transportation. Funded by top Fortune 500 companies, his projects at IDEO led to the creation of innovative products, the launch of new companies, and provided invaluable insights into how organizations adapt and evolve, or become obsolete in the face of tectonic shifts.

Engin co-founded two startups: Itemology, a smart inventory management platform for online purchases and Patara, a decentralized research and trade platform for cryptocurrencies. In both cases, he oversaw product development, go-to-market, and fundraising. Also, Engin provides advisory to growth stage CEOs and CTOs on product-market fit, roadmap prioritization, and building effective product organizations.

Engin’s work intersecting design and technology has been recognized with several patents and awards. He holds a Master’s degree in Information Design and Technology from Georgia Institute of Technology and a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Yildiz Technical University in Istanbul.

Engin lives in New York with his wife, 2 children, and the cutest dog ever.
